| Gympie Times report on storm: 'The fury of the tornado wrought much damage at Monkland. The Catholic Church was wreck. the building having been lifted from its stumps and the whorle of a side wall blown in. The whole structure is buckled up and the furnsihings bent and battered. One eyewitness said that one end of the building was lifted 10 feet into the air. |
